The KYW Awards

Each year, the Know Your Worth community honors extraordinary women who exemplify strength, service, creativity, and leadership. These awards celebrate the diverse ways women make an impact.

Ella Award

In memory of Ella Louise Barnhill, the late mother of our Founder, Alonda Hassell. This award is given to women who illustrate exemplary patience and love while parenting their children and others despite challenges faced in life.

Cherub Award

In recognition of one's community service and outreach. This award honors those who organize feeding, clothing, and providing mental and physical health for the less fortunate in the community.

Creative Award

Recognizes those who have paved the way with their gifts to create in the arts. Film, music, art, fashion, makeup, writing, crafting and so much more. The creative abilities that women possess and boldly share are endless, exciting to witness, and encouraging to the creative in all of us!

Educator Award

Honors those who have made great strides in the education field. The educators love for students and their leadership skills create environments conducive to students and staff working together to achieve greater.

Entrepreneur Award

Designed to honor a woman that has created and maintains a business providing products or service for others in our community. The business owner ensures a great product and customer service and remains consistent in their business practice.

Pearl Award

In honor of Elder Deborah Wallace who led with love, gentleness, unity, and God's love. The recipient of this award is a seasoned woman who holds these qualities and encourages others to do so also.

The mission of the Fenna Foundation is to provide college scholarship funds for African American and Latina females who demonstrate academic achievement, clearly defined goals, leadership, the determination to succeed, and the desire to return to their communities and help others realize their dreams.
